AntiGravity Fitness (AG), a fusion technique, is often seen as a bridge between fitness and traditional yoga modalities. Whether you’re brand new or already studyin‘ with a guru, AG classes at Emerge will support beginners while simultaneously providing an exhilarating workout that challenges even the most practiced fitness junkie! Depending on the class, sessions will offer combination of cardio, strengthening, stretching, and therapeutic release. Since the AG hammocks allow students to go upside down with no pressure on the spine, you leave with a floating feeling, even after your feet touch the ground. AntiGravity Flying Fitness

 
Flying Fitness is an excellent class for both the beginner or frequent flyer alike to experience an up beat isometric cardio conditioning workout – all while suspended in the air & defying gravity! Flip and fly through space as you get fit, increasing your flexibility, mobility, cardio and muscular capacity to a bumpin’ playlist. The AGY Harrison Hammock provides an opportunity to stretch, strengthen & break a sweat – connecting to muscles from your head to your toes that will give you the workout of your life in a fun, lighthearted & dynamic way!

AntiGravity Aerial Flow

 
Aerial Flow is the ideal class for any student looking to make more of a connection to themselves and the hammock. Slower paced than a “fitness” class, this session will guide you into deep stretches with a focus on spine traction & overall stability. However, don’t let the pace fool you, holding poses can make you sweat as you explore your body freely in space, discovering muscles you didn’t even know you had! By ulilizing the AGY Hammock as a suspension device to enhance spinal decompression, muscular weight resistance, alignment, and deeper stretches, this class provides a comprehensive total body workout, while simultaneously soothing the nervous system and quieting the mind through floating meditations.

AntiGravity Deep Release

 
Deep Release is the gentle, meditative, slow stretching and rehabilitative version of AGY. This powerful method focuses the mind through visualizations as it floats the body through a series of gentle gyro-kinetic motions, deeply opening the entire spine, hips and the connective tissues of the body. Each class features full body inversions alongside various forms of flowing spinal traction. It offers accessibility to students with physical limitations, but is loved by all as a portal into deeper spinal flexibility and mind/body connection.

Deep Release incorporates levitation meditations, zero compression inversions, supported sun salutations, joint opening poses, and a floating cocoon, while working from different hammock heights to allow for a gentle opening of the hips and spine.

AntiGravity AIRBarre

 
This extensive Aerial Dance Conditioning program brings dance into the AGY Hammocks!

Dance develops ideal bodylines through the toning and lengthening of muscles, while also developing balance and agility. Recently, new methods of ballet barre training have found their way into fitness studios as participants notice the many benefits of training physical grace. AntiGravity’s version, AIRbarre, challenges the body and mind beyond the vertical plane and up into the air!

Whether you are a fitness enthusiast eager to try to new forms, a dancer who wants to explore the air or an aerialist who wants to work on lovely lines, AntiGravity AIRbarre will get you up and flying!

AntiGravity Pilates

This certified technique allows practitioners to perform Classical and Contemporary Pilates exercises from the Mat, Reformer, Cadillac,and Ladder Barrel – all on the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock! AntiGravity Cocooning

 
Supercharging the Power Nap: According to the National Sleep Foundation, research shows that naps can restore alertness, enhance performance, and reduce mistakes and accidents. A study at NASA on sleepy military pilots and astronauts found that a 40-minute nap improved performance by 34% and alertness 100%. Naps can increase alertness in the period directly following the nap and may extend alertness a few hours later in the day.
A 15 minute nap can make up for a poor night’s sleep. Additionally, napping has psychological benefits. A nap can be a pleasant luxury, a mini-vacation. It can provide an easy way to get some relaxation and rejuvenation.

AntiGravity® Cocooning is a 45-60 minute class that takes participants through basic stretching and mobility sequences before placing them into the Cocoon for a guided meditation.

Many Emerge AntiGravity classes are accompanied by the sweet aroma of Young Living therapeutic grade essential oils. The oils chosen create a multi-sensory experience adding to the ambiance of the class. Certain scents have uplifting or stimulating properties, while others are grounding, calming & soothing. Throughout classes, options for oils may be offered to enhance your experience.
